This woodland area within a large holiday park was too dense for pre-manufactured lodges, but ideal for a treehouse.
Connecting families to nature.
No doubt the largest that we’ve ever designed, these twin treehouses are built to allow the whole family the chance to experience nature without sacrificing luxury or space.
Reimagining an underused corner of a large, successful holiday park a carefully landscaped and gated section leads to timber boardwalks that ascend into two separate treehouses, each towering amongst the treetops. Internally, three large ensuite bedrooms each enjoy their own vista of the site, and external hot tubs as well as freestanding baths in each allows for a relaxed soak after a long day of exploring.

Client Brief.
To enhance their offerings on the site and continue to lead the way in their sector, Shorefields Country Park asked for show-stopping designs that would have a light touch on the land, and yet be heavy-duty enough to withstand the years of enjoyment that their popularity will demand.
Main Challenges.
As with any bespoke building, everything must be designed from scratch and this becomes even more tricky when building in and around trees, root systems and extremely uneven ground. Luckily, we’re experienced in this and we were able to create bespoke solutions to every hurdle that was presented.
Outcome.
Thanks to some of the most determined and skilled contractors we’ve ever worked with the treehouses were built on time and to budget despite the effects of Covid-19. The craftsmanship is truly breathtaking and when coupled with the natural surroundings it is clear to see why these treehouses have become so popular with their guests.
