Client Brief.

Our client approached us with the objective to create a business income from the land that surrounds their farmhouse in Southwell, using pre-manufactured glamping pods. Working with a team of consultants we recommended the optimum amount of units in order to retain spaciousness whilst making the business viable.

Main Challenges.

We wanted to ensure that the site remained as natural as possible, and therefore the pods are built from timber and are accessed via permeable paths which meander through the site. This helped reduce the visual impact towards the adjacent national trust property, and ease the planners into granting an approval.

Outcome.

The site has been a huge success ever since setting up and the tranquil setting has made it even more popular as a safe place to stay during the Covid-19 outbreak.

I worked with Studio Six Architecture in connection with Benson Planning Studio on my planning application for 6 Glamping pods on my land in Southwell, Nottingham.
Their work was excellent - fast, reliable and precise.
I would definitely use them again.
